There's been a lot of work for our artists and narrative designers, but programming and design have also had plenty to do. We've had to draw out level layouts, plan combat encounters, and get movement, attacks, and interactions working properly in Unity.

One of the greatest difficulties has been getting the player to interact with the scene and other objects correctly. At one point, the player character was rolling over top of enemies instead of encountering them in combat. Another time, the coding of the main character's fireball attack caused ranged enemies who used projectiles to hurt themselves instead of the player. There was also an issue with multiple characters being in a scene together. Sometimes, the player could only interact with one other person, and other times they could interact with multiple characters – but the dialogue would not display correctly.

All of these problems have gradually been tackled and solved, but as we get closer to the production phase these kinds of challenges are sure to increase.
